Welcome to Mats&Ida!

My name is Karin Lundin and I am the woman behind Mats&Ida.

If you are looking for easily understandable knitting patterns for modern baby or child clothing, you have come to the right place. In my eyes, knitting patterns should be clear and detailed, so that even less experienced knitters can enjoy their project and not give up in frustration after a while.

Most of my designs cannot deny the Scandinavian influence, which is not surprising when you consider that I lived in Sweden for years. During that time I became a mum for the first time, and I knitted baby jackets and rompers according to Swedish patterns. Soon I started to enjoy knitting my own designs more. But to this day, I am inspired by the lovely Nordic style, with a touch of retro.

A few years ago, when I had a baby knit on my needles again and I was looking forward to becoming a grandma soon, I had the idea to publish my own designs. And in 2019, the time had come and my first knitting pattern was released and ready for download on Ravelry. In the meantime, I have published several patterns.
